Sandoz Generic Ozempic Is Approved but Not Yet for Sale in Canada
Health Canada approved a third generic Ozempic on September 16, but it is not yet on sale. What online clinics can and cannot offer today.

The status
Sandoz's generic semaglutide has a Health Canada Notice of Compliance dated September 16, 2026. Its two DINs, 02571501 and 02571528, were still Approved, not Marketed on the Drug Product Database on September 29.
What online clinics can offer
For now, the generics available are Apotex and Dr. Reddy's. Some virtual care programs supply generic semaglutide; others supply only brand-name. A program saying it will offer Sandoz's product soon is stating an intention, not a supply.
What we will do
We will update this note when Health Canada's database shows the product as marketed and a program publishes a verifiable price.
